Who runs oursalary.in
Hi, I'm Divyanshu Raman. I'm currently pursuing my B.Tech, and for the past three years I've been writing about personal finance, mostly about the things people actually see on their payslip: CTC structures, PF, income tax slabs and in-hand pay. I built oursalary.in to share that knowledge in one place, because most salary pages give you a single number without showing how it was reached. Every guide and calculator here shows the full working, so you can follow each step and check it against your own offer letter.
I started writing about money because I kept seeing the same confusion among friends getting their first offer letters: a CTC that sounded large, a first salary credit that looked much smaller, and no clear explanation of where the difference went. oursalary.in is my attempt to answer that question properly, with calculators that do the maths in the open and guides that walk through every line of a payslip.

How I check the numbers
Every calculation is built from primary rules rather than from other calculators: the Income Tax Act and the Finance Act for slabs, rebates and surcharge; the EPF scheme and EPFO notifications for PF; the Payment of Gratuity Act and the Code on Social Security for gratuity; Department of Expenditure orders for DA; and Ministry of Finance notifications for small-savings rates. Each page states its assumptions, and I recheck the figures whenever a Budget, a DA revision or a quarterly small-savings rate change comes out. The date at the top of each page shows when it was last reviewed.
What this site is not
I am not a chartered accountant, tax advisor or SEBI-registered investment adviser, and oursalary.in is not a payroll provider. The tools are built for understanding and estimation.
